Situated on a scenic peninsula jutting out into the
calm waters of Barnegat Bay, Berkeley Island County
Park's location provides possibly the best view of the
Bay in Ocean County. It also features a family-oriented beach, complete
with warm sand and protected bay bathing. The crabbing/fishing pier
at the park is one of the County's most popular. Bring a picnic
lunch and spend the day sunning, swimming, or crabbing from the
100' pier. Crabbing, fishing, handicapped accessible,horseshoes,
picnic area, grills, playground, restrooms, swimming, volleyball,
covered pavilion. Reserved picnic areas available (fee, limit 75
persons).

An olympic size, stream-fed freshwater pool adjacent to the Norvin
Green State Forest with 160 miles of pristine hiking trails. No
chemicals are used in the pool. And unlike many regional lake associations,
they do not limit membership to local residents - anyone is welcome
to join. The Highlands Natural Pool will be open on weekends from
11am-7pm, May 25 through September 22, and then daily from 12 noon-7pm,
June 24 through Labor Day.

A publicly run outdoor aquatic facility featuring a large main pool
for swimming and diving, and a circular wading pool for toddlers.
They also feature beautiful, landscaped grounds that are ideal for
sunbathing, recreational facilities like volleyball courts and a
game
room, a pool house with locker rooms and showers, and a fully staffed
snack bar and covered dining pavilion. Their recreational and entertainment
activities include a swim and dive team, swim lessons, arts and
crafts, and a whole host of parties for pre-teens and even seniors.
The pool is open from Memorial Day through to Labor Day. Membership
is available for both residents and non residents.
